Although this message is exactly this right one, I feel you almost have to do it the wrong way to learn from that mistake.

I’ve been there (as many have) trying to ‘game’ the system for the most hits or by marketing harder than anyone else. And don’t even mention funnels to me!

I see it reflected in people’s corporate careers. They try and figure out what others are thinking to progress their career (trying to push a change) rather than just being great at what you do and impressing people with your quality. Let them be your champion (the pull).

The better you are, the greater your differentiation to everyone else.

And you’ve gotta love Steve Martin’s quote. Right On.
