I can’t disagree with the overall premise that quality costs (and is often more cost effective in the long term)

But not everyone has the cash flow for the higher prices items. There could be the argument to not buy at all, or buy higher quality second hand items.

But tell that to your child or teenager who just wants/needs a particular item!
