I totally agree with the first 2 points as they relate to career and education. The paths to career and work are so much more fluid now.
But I really struggled with the second 2 about investing in property and financial freedom as they sound very specific to the writers situation.
If home ownership is ‘only’ about investing then there are better options to make money, but that’s not what home ownership is about for a lot of people.
And financial freedom, by not saving in advance (e.g. pension) but instead by selling all your assets, living as a minimalist, and still continuing to work, isn’t financial freedom. It’s just living to your means. However I agree that many of us would be happy if we did more of this, rather than getting sucked into a consumerist behaviour.
