Perhaps buy a few years old apple device instead (or official refurbished). I buy most apple stuff refurbished or second hand and never feel like I’m buying old tech!

It follows the model of buying new cars. You pay massive premium for brand new, but nearly new or few years old and get a great saving with little compromise.
