It’s the balance that good choices have to make between the financial and the adding value to your life.
Sadly I often see one at the expense of the other; either a wasteful lifestyle leading to a painful retirement or a frugal lifestyle where folks have tragically not lived to even see retirement.
Great tips though in your original piece, I also have tried to balance my ‘investments’ across property, savings, pensions, stocks & shares. And try our best to save first, spend second.
