What a great perspective. Thank you for sharing. I’m always curious about why people think/do/say what they do. I wonder if these people you mentioned aren’t talking literally about how pretty someone is, more describing the moment.

It’s clumsy wording of course, but is their intent to describe you or the amazing moment? I’d like to think it’s the beautiful moment but strangely we don’t seem to use language accurately to convey that. Perhaps it’s human nature to try and please an individual directly by describing them rather than indirectly by complementing the situation.
