When looking at the ‘cost’ in isolation, its hard to beat these mail order prices until you actually need more than just cheap manufacturing.
When you need advice, when you need consultancy, when you need more than just a commodity.
But by then we’ll have closed down all the locally available expertise as we chased the next ‘cheap’ deal.
I’m not doubting the potential monopoly thats been going on for years but if something is cheap then its definitely the basics that you are going to get, nothing more.
Excuse the pun but a little short sighted I think.
